Happy St. Patrick's Day!

This post is to honor Clay's Irish side! (I believe he is 1/4 Irish, right Mick?) Either way, Daddy likes to "blame" his little temper tantrums on his the fact that he is just a "feisty Irish!" Ha!

To prepare for St. Patty's Day, Clay and I made coffee filter shamrocks. This was a two day activity since the coffee filters had to dry completely before decorating.

Day 1: Painting

Materials...yes, those are shamrocks...Mama is not an artist to say the least!

Mixing yellow and blue to make green...yes, that's the teacher in me!

Watching the colors change right before our eyes!

Painting the shamrock.

Getting some on the high chair for good measure...and to make it a tad messier!

Day 2: Decorating

Checking out the pom poms! He held it to his cheek and said "soff." (soft)

Squeeeezing out the glue!

One of our finished products!

My sweet boy!

When Clay woke up this morning Mama had a special treat for his breakfast...

GREEN scrambled eggs and shamrock toast!

Not quite sold on the green eggs. In fact, I got a "Mama, no geen eggs" request!

Much better! Regular eggs...but he LOVED his shamrock toast!

Luck of the Irish to you all!
