Let me tell you this boy is ALL boy! He is a total outdoors kind of guy....the dirtier, sweatier, messier, the better!!! He loves digging in the flower beds (with Mama's good spoons nonetheless!), tormenting the poor
rolly-
pollies (or "
pollies" as he calls them)--just can't get enough of watching them roll into their little balls trying desperately to escape his pokes, and catching "
hoppers" in the grass with Daddy! He loves, loves, loves his books about animals, bugs and other creepy crawlies, reptiles, and dinosaurs or "
di-do-saurs" as Clay says!
One really windy day, in effort to keep us from blowing over outside, I thought of an indoor activity Clay might enjoy...creating his very own di-do-saur!

materials...yes, that is a dinosaur...just wait and see!

this is a two step activity...first, we painted the dinosaur

then, we painted the plates for the dinosaur's back
clay decided it worked best just to roll the clothespins around in the paint...messier...better!
gluing on the google eye...two words clay has added to his vocab! :)
clay's finished
di-do-saur!we wrapped up our activity by reading these two books!
This kept his attention...for a little while...but, as soon as the wind died down...well, you know where to find us! :)
